Ouch
Forgive me if I can't catch up. It hurts. Each and every step of the way. The pain reminds me of a chant we used back in JC rugby. We used to shout it out whenever we pushed our bodies to the limit. It's one of the US Marines' phrases.
"Pain is weakness leaving the body."
Sounds quite psycho no? And yet I wonder everyday, when the pain will go away. Am I really so weak that I have to go through so much pain? I'll only get stronger after the pain goes away I guess.
So how does one react to pain? Probably depends on how much it hurts. You might scream, shout, tremble or even cry. It's rather easy to gauge physical pain. Your body automatically tells you how much it hurts. There's an obvious difference between an ant-bite and having your nails pulled out. And when it goes off your personal Richter scale, you go unconscious to avoid it all.
But how do you measure emotional pain or psychological trauma? A simple off-hand remark can destroy a friendship or even end a person's life. How many heartbreaks can you take before you go numb?
Well, I'm not really quite sure what I'm rambling about. Pray do tell if you can tell me what I'm trying to say. For the rest of you, just remember to say "Ouch!" the next time I hurt you. Otherwise I'd never know that I'm causing you pain.
Anyway, Nanase Aikawa rocks!!! She's like my fave rock chick and this song totally rocks!! Wooooooo!!!!! (No Hard Gay jokes please.)
